DESCRIPTION
This site consists of a bridge of a single segmental arch,
which formerly carried the Thomastown-Waterford road over
the Blaclwater river. The extreme shallowness of the arch
necessitated later reinforcement to cope with the increasing
traffic. It is now superseded by a modern concrete bridge
immediately downstream.
